DNW-9WSP Hire

DNW-9WSP Hire is available for Dry and Wet Hire, from single days to long term hire at competitive rates. Package deals with lighting and crew are also available.

This Betacam SX camcorder is equipped with 2/3-inch 620K Power HAD™ IT CCDs. It incorporates 10-bi t / 36MHz Digital Signal Pocessing in the camera section and Betacam SX digital recording in the VTR section. The DNW-9WSP brings cost-effective 4:3 / 16:9 switchable digital operation to day to day ENG acquisition assignments and EFP shooting applications.

Lightweight & compact
Weighs 6 kg (inc. battery, lens). Lighter than a BVW-400.

10 bit Digital Signal Processing
This allows cost effective yet powerful control over all aspects of the picture. These control setups can be stored on a setup memory card for easy repeatability.

Auto trace white (ATW) system
The ATW function makes it possible to automatically adjust the white balance as lighting conditions change. This function is useful when shooting in rapidly changing lighting conditions (for example, when moving from an indoor to an outdoor location). Conventional auto white balance is also available both instead of, and in addition, to ATW operation. White B preset position is assigned for ATW operation by selecting either ATW or AWB B in the VF menu.

Menu control and set-up card
Easy to use menu control utilising a rotary thumb wheel. Set-up memory cards can store all of the camera parameters, for easy storage and recall of special set-ups or a cameramans' individual menu set-up.

Turbo gain up to +42dB
Allows working down to around 0.4 lux. Good enough to capture news at night in street lighting.

‘Good shot’ and ‘Rec. Start’ markers and shot data recording.
Stores a mark on tape for easily finding record start and other "good shot" markers

Slot-in diversity wireless receiver WRR-855A (option)
The wireless receiver becomes part of the camcorder thereby reducing size, weight and potential loss.

4ch audio / SDI output with CA-701 (option)
The CA-701 adds 4 independent audio channel capability plus SDI output to the camcorder. It has two extra XLR inputs and metering for channels 3 and 4.

Composite or SDI input record capability with CA-702P (option).
The CA-702P option enables the camcorder to record an external source either via either the SDI or composite input. Applications include recording a news 'pool feed'. In addition an SDI camcorder output is provided for external digital recording and a 26 pin analogue interface to the portable BVW-50P VTR.

Lithium Ion battery
Lithium Ion battery technology provides more capacity in a smaller, lighter package than other battery technologies. They also have no 'memory effect'. The BP-L60 battery can provide up to 2 hours of recording time. The BP-L90 up to 3 hours.

AC-DN1 - PSU / battery charger
Attachable to the V shoe interface the AC-DN1 combined PSU / Battery Charger is caompact and lightweight being the approximate size as a BP-L60A battery.

Internal lighting power system
The stabilised internal light system can be powered from the camcorders' Lithium-ion battery. The light can be switched on/off either manually or automatically when recording. Maximum power capability is 30 watts.

CCU adapter CA-755P (option) connects to CCU-550P and CCU-700AP.
The camcorder can be easily integrated into a studio camera system using the CA-755P triax adaptor.

Full colour playback with no adapter.
Earlier camcorders required an external adapter to achieve stable colour playback. This is no longer required for the DNW camcorders. This enables easy review of recorded material and playout to a links system e.g. back to studio, directly from the camcorder.

TruEye video processing
The TruEye processing feature manages the video signal according to three factors- brightness, hue and saturation. Hence even with a wide dynamic range signal colour can be faithfully reproduced, by eliminating the hue factor distortion, so matching the human eye charactoristics.
