The Tyler Middle Mount
The Tyler Middle Mount is a smaller, lighter weight door mount offering over 100 degree pan/tilt/roll range. Although certain 35mm packages can be used, the mount is generally better suited to the smaller 16mm and Betacam systems. Very quick to set up, balance and install by one person. The Eurocopter AStar/TwinStar base, shown here, is constructed for left or right mounting configurations. Left side with the JetRanger base can be accomplished with minimal reworking of the arm and operator's safety belt. Gyro assist available for improved stability when appropriate.

The Tyler Major Mount
The Tyler Major Mount can handle a wide variety of film and video cameras, ranging from the lightweight Arri 16SR and Betacam packages up to the heavy large format IMAX systems. The JetRanger/LongRanger seatbase configuration, facilitates quick changeovers for left or right-side shooting accommodating changing screen direction. Can be mounted with or without gyro stabilization according to need. An additional counter weight mounted gyro setup is available for additional stability on the arm.

The Gyromaster®
The Gyromaster is the newest mount from Advanced Camera (formerly Continental Camera), departs from door mount conventions with it's inverted handgrip yoke. This unique configuration attempts to impart less unwanted motion to the mount by removing the operator's eye from the eyepiece and placing his hands closer to the camera's center of gravity. Viewing is via an attached B&W monitor. The Gyromaster comes standard with 3 gyros: 2-KS-8s on the camera plate and a KS-8 or KS-12 on the counterweight bucket. Advanced Camera currently reports that they are able to use longer lenses than used on their previous mounts.

Gyros
Gyros are rapidly becoming indispensable for most aerial filming applications involving door mounts, adding both mass and artificial inertia to a very dynamic shooting environment.
